The history of Abbott Diagnostics is filled with examples of first-of-a-kind products and significant technological advancements.We currently have a vacancy for a Technical Support Specialist and this position will involve the following:Purpose of the role:To ensure the plant meets its customer quality, service, regulatory, financial and safety goals through effective technical support of DRO and BRO products.Your goal is to plan and implement technical support solutions and projects to assist the plant in meeting KPI's.You will be an excellent communicator, as the role will often require you to work with many departments and external entities to accomplish goals.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support to the product manufacturing team to meet production targets.Design and manage process improvement projects.Assist in product development/improvement projects.Transfer of new products from other Abbott sites.Participate in laboratory maintenance programs.Identify and implement cost reductions.Qualifications/Experience:Higher Certificate, Ordinary or Honours Bachelor degree in scientific and technical field is desired or relevant combination of education and experience.2-4 years' related work experience.
