Job OverviewThe primary function of the role is to support the delivery of training and development within FBD and contribute to the growth and the effective operation of the Claims, Sales, and Underwriting.
Reporting to the Team Leader, Learning and Development, this role involves design and delivery of learning interventions to support the delivery of the Business Units Training Plans.
Job ResponsibilitiesDesign, deliver and maintain core in-house training programmes, in particular Induction Programmes using a range of media Design and deliver high quality L&D content for process and procedural training to support the implementation of new processes, procedures and systems Create fit for purpose, "bite-sized" learning content, which can be used to bring relevant learning to individuals in a timely way Ensure training procedures and documentation are standardized, kept up to date, comply with regulations, best practice and maintained centrally Ensure documentation is in place for all training interventions including programme objectives, scope and purpose with specific detail on governance and sign-offJob ResponsibilitiesWork independently on projects, providing advice and support to other teams/units in the business, under the guidance of the Team Leader L&D (where appropriate) Contribute to the development of training plans and programmes to meet specific learning needs in the core roles as identified through needs analysis Support the L&D Team Leader to deliver on the HR Strategic Plan Create new processes which maximize opportunities for learning and development growth Coach and mentor others regularly to support their growth and development Participate in projects as required Any other duties/responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned in line with business strategyEducationA minimum of CIP or APA in Commercial & Personal General Insurance and willing to attain CIP within 12 months Trainer the Trainer QQI 6 will be provided to those not already qualifiedExperiencesMinimum 3-5 years' experience in working in the insurance industry ideally in a CF role Excellent communication skills, including both written and oral skills, ability to write reports and communicate new policy updates to other employees.
Experience of coaching and supporting individuals to improve performance.
Experience of supervision and coaching is a distinct advantage.
Must be methodical, bring a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail to all work.
Strong organizational and administrative skills with a disciplined approach to tasks/duties.
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office packages.
A proactive and energetic approach with the ability to prioritise workloads, in order to achieve deadlines.
Self-starter with a proactive approach, who can work unsupervised, demonstrating initiative, creativity and professionalism.
Collaborative approach, with demonstrated capacity to co-design learning content with others, and to work with others to achieve team success.

MCCThis role sits with in Pay Band C of FBD's General Pay Band Structure.
This role involves working across a number of FBD's sites as and when required whilst also facilitating Hybrid working.
