Overviewof the Role:? Munster Technological University wishesto appointaStaff Officertoassistwiththeset-up, administration anddeliveryofstudentinnovation andentrepreneurshipactivities,toworkwith academicand other colleagues to design and deliverstudentinitiatives aswell asspecialprojects andevents. This role is basedon the Kerry campus,workingcloselywith theStudentEnterpriseOffice inCork andwill provide on-going support tostudent entrepreneurshipprogrammesandinitiativeand other relatedprojects.The role reports tothe Regional StudentEntrepreneurship Manager,Cork,ortheir delegate. Duties and responsibilities of the position: Support ofstudententrepreneurship andinnovation programmes, activities, and initiatives. Promotion of student entrepreneurship activities across both Kerry campuses including class visits, attendance at events etc Administrative supporttostudent entrepreneurship projects Secretarial support at meetings and committees asrequired;diary management,arranging for meetings,lunchesand events. Preparing reports and updates onstudent entrepreneurship activitiesasrequired. Organisation ofmeetings, visits,eventsand seminars. Provide support for special project promotion including social media marketing. Assistingwith the coordination of events throughout March as part of Innovation and Enterprise month To undertake otherappropriate dutiesassigned byStudent Entrepreneurship Manager ortheir delegate. Promotionof events and initiatives through social media including LinkedIn Mentoring of studentsduring competitions and entrepreneurship programmes Essential Criteria:??? Have obtained at least Grade D3 in five subjects in the Leaving Certificate Examination (higher, ordinary, applied or vocational programmes) or equivalent OR have passed an examination at the appropriate level within the QQI qualifications framework which can be standard or equivalent or higher OR have appropriate relevant experience which encompasses equivalent skills and expertise assessed as being of a comparable to Leaving Certificate. RelevantAdministrative experience whichdemonstratesa competency on the systems and structures which underpin the functioning of the University. Demonstrable experience of report writing. Highly skilled in MS Office, Office 365,TEAMS and Zoom. Experience of workingas part of a team. Demonstrableability towork ontheirown initiative. Evidence of self-development ?? Desirable Criteria: Ordinary degree in a Business or STEM discipline Experience in a post whichindicatesthe potential of the applicant to perform the main duties of the post. Experience & knowledge of MTU student entrepreneurship programmes & initiatives Event Management experience. Relevant experience of project management Termsof Appointment:? Salary:GradeV€49,707 to €59,455per annum,includingtwolong service increments.
