A full-time and permanent position has arisen for an Urgent Care Physician working in our new Galway clinic opening March 2025.
Whats on offer: Competitive salary Performance related bonus Company pension up to 10% employer contribution Health insurance Income protection Study leave Medical indemnity paid for by Vhi Role Purpose Provide care to patients presenting with a range of urgent care presentations Treat patients who attend the clinic for consultation, aged from 12months Minor injuries; including: sprains, fractures and wounds Minor illnesses Initial interpretation of x-rays and ECGs Facilitating referrals to ED/ specialists where indicated Education & Experience Registered with the Irish Medical Council.
Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in clinical practice, including significant experience in general practice and a minimum of 2 years recent urgent care/ emergency medicine experience.
Training in emergency medicine, general practice or other postgraduate qualification would be highly beneficial.
6 months experience with paediatric patients is desirable.
Flexibility across a 7-day roster.
