The position is responsible for general ledger related reporting duties for North American entities.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in preparation of US GAAP accounts and month end closeCompletion and review of Balance sheet reconciliationsEnsure the presentation to corporate of financial data on a timely and accurate basis.Supporting the preparation of forecasts and annual plans.Preparation of detailed Cost Centre analysisCollaboration with the Transaction Processing group in AthloneEnsure the integrity and SOX compliance of financial, administrative and legal controls in accordance with corporate policy and procedures.Ensure compliance with VAT, tax and fiscal requirementsPrepare the information requested by internal and external auditorsEnsuring the integrity of internal financial controlsAd hoc tasks as required to support Finance FunctionBack up for other colleagues where necessaryParticipate in mentoring programme within teamEducation / Experience RequirementsBusiness Degree or Diploma including AccountingPrevious Experience in a Shared Service CentreStrong sense of discretion and confidentiality.Excellent IT skills with a working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Strong attention to detail with good time management skillsThe ability to work effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines.Specialized Skills / Other RequirementsA friendly enthusiastic, professional and welcoming manner.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with employees of all levels.Flexible and adaptable work ethic.Able to work on own initiative and as a team player.Good organisational skills with cultural awareness and sensitivity.Good analytical and problem solving abilityAbility to manage multiple programs and projects effectively and efficientlyCOMPANY INFORMATION: As a global provider of medical technologies, Teleflex is driven by our purpose to improve the health and quality of people's lives.
