What is this role about?
Reporting to the relevant Production Managers the experienced welder/fabricator will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly and welding of metal components according to specifications.

Reporting to the relevant Production Managers the experienced welder/fabricator will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly and welding of metal components according to specifications.
Fabrication and Welding: Perform welding and fabrication tasks using various welding techniques including MIG & TIG welding.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to understand job specifications.
Set up and operate welding equipment and tools.
Quality Control: Inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws.
Ensure all fabricated components meet required standards and specifications.
Perform quality checks on completed products.
Maintenance and Safety: Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to meet project deadlines.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
What experience / qualifications are essential for this role: Essential Criteria Proven experience as a welder/fabricator.
Experience with MIG & TIG welding.
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficiency in various welding techniques and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and quality control.
Good problem-solving skills Desirable Criteria Welding certification is preferred but not required.
