Job Overview: The Installations Planning Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of solar PV installations, including compiling and managing installation partner(s), coordinating with equipment suppliers, ensuring the quality of installations, and addressing customer support issues.
The role also entails handling Technical Support Queries from our Sales team members.
This role is critical to the success of the company and its projects, requiring strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities: Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end management of solar PV installation projects, from planning and scheduling to execution and completion.
Contractor Management: Liaise and coordinate with our installation partner, ensuring they meet company standards and project timelines.
Supplier Coordination: Coordinate with equipment suppliers to ensure timely delivery of Tier 1 materials and equipment for projects.
Quality Assurance: Monitor and ensure the quality of installations, scheduling regular inspections by our lead electrician and supporting him in compiling audits to maintain company standards.
Customer Relations: Handle and resolve customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Technical Sales Support: Monitor our MS Teams channel for technical queries from our sales team and provide same day responses.
Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with industry regulations and company policies, including health and safety protocols.
Budget Management: Manage project budgets and financial performance, tracking expenses and working to achieve cost-effective solutions.
Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for projects and teams, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management, including project updates, financial performance, and risk assessments.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management Experience and knowledge of the solar PV industry and technology an advantage but not a requirement.
Proven experience in managing contractors, suppliers, and project teams.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Valid driver's license.
