About the teamThe Account Executive, Existing Business team is a highly consultative sales team that is responsible for the growth and retention of Stripe's largest and fastest growing Startup and SMB customers. As an Account Executive, Existing Business team member, you'll identify new opportunities for our clients to get the most out of Stripe by quickly understanding our clients' needs, execute scaled sales strategies to close upsell and renewals with existing Stripe customers, and drive end-to-end campaigns to increase adoption of Stripe's offerings.
What you'll doResponsibilitiesOwn the full upsell & cross sell sales cycle from lead to close for existing Stripe startupsOwn contract renewals and lead commercial negotiations to increase and retain existing customer revenue and Stripe market shareDevelop and implement full sales cycle strategies for driving product adoption, new product sales, and client retention at scale among existing Stripe customersSolve complex client needs and work across product, sales, risk, and operations teams to improve our productGenerate your own leads through cold calling, blitzing, research, networking, and driving your territoryIdentify and understand users' pain points to propose Stripe solutionsMake sure that internal teams are set up for users' success by coordinating with other Stripe teamsWho you areWe're looking for a well-rounded strategic seller who can build strong relationships with Stripe's clients and manage high velocity deal cycles. Minimum RequirementsFluent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English2+ years of closing experience in a client-facing roleAbility to understand complex technical ecosystems and build great relationships with technical customersAbility to drive and close upsell opportunities for additional Stripe products in long-term, consultative engagementsAnalytical ability to manage complex pricing and cost considerationsExperience managing projects with input from cross-functional teamsA knack for working well with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externallyAbility and motivation to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environmentGreat critical thinking skillsPreferred qualificationsPrior experience in a sales and/or customer-facing role at a high growth technology companyOffice-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.
The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is €103,700 - €155,500. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
Specific benefits and details about what compensation is included in the salary range listed above will vary depending on the applicant's location and can be discussed in more detail during the interview process. Benefits/additional compensation for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; retirement plans; health benefits; and wellness stipends.
