Accountant

About the Role: The Client is seeking a highly skilled Accountantto join our finance team, reporting directly to the CFO.
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the financial reporting process and leading a team of three accountants.
This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of financial principles and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Manage and mentor a team of three accountants, providing guidance and support.
- Assist the CFO in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filings.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ACCA, ACA or equivalent certification preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Experience in construction an advantage however not essential
