Accountant ( Part Qualified)

We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Accountant who will work within the Record to Report team, looking after the European markets with our outsourced partners.
The successful candidate will join the Shared Services Centre based in our EMEA Shared Services Hub in Cherrywood, Dublin.
Reporting to the team Lead, this position will be responsible for the financial accounting for one or more entities within the EMEA Abbott.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsibility for daily and monthly financial activity under US GAAPPreparation and review of annual financial statements in accordance with FRS102Manage and ensure timely completion of Internal and External auditsPerform analytics to ensure accuracy of financial informationOngoing work with internal teams to identify project needs arising from new accounting and industry developments or process gapsCo-ordination with other internal parties to meet various reporting deadlinesReview UK and Irish VAT, CSO and intrastate returnPreparation and review of UK corporate tax returnComplete SOX controls in line with control matrixMaintain and develop relationships with key stakeholdersOversight of outsourced business partnerKEY REQUIREMENTS:A professional accounting qualification from a recognised body – ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA; preference for a big four trained accountant2-3 years business experience – preferably with Shared Service Centre or multinational corporation backgroundSAP or other major ERP Systems experience is desirableExperience in preparation of Financial Statements preferredStrong written and verbal communication skills are essentialAble to work alone to understand and summarise financial data into high quality, accurate and usable summariesStrong computer skills especially MS OfficeOTHER:Transport: Bus, Luas located outside buildingOff-site Parking availableOnsite canteenConnect with us at www.abbott.com or https://www.ie.abbott/, on LinkedIn at www.linkedin.com/company/abbott-/, on Facebook at www.facebook.com/Abbott and on Twitter @AbbottNews.
