Are you our next Accounting Advisory Senior Associate or Manager?
Location: Dublin Grade: Senior Associate / Manager Contract type: Permanent A snapshot of your peer group: Qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA, or international equivalent) with 1+ year(s) PQEExcellent knowledge of accounting, preferably obtained in a "Big 4/Top 10" environmentProven project management skills, with experience in leading teams and delivering services to clientsProblem solving attitude and proven ability to apply accounting concepts to unusual one-off situationsStrong technical experience, with a track record of combining accounting analysis with commercial business adviceExperience in accounting standards including IFRS and Irish/UK GAAP. US GAAP experience is a plus but not a prerequisite.Strong interpersonal skills, drive and enthusiasmExcellent communication skills; both written and oralYour responsibilities and achievements will evolve as you enhance your career with us. Here is what you can initially expect: Management of client accounting-related engagements, and leading teams. In some instances, leading Accounting Advisory input into larger, multi-disciplinary teamsTake an active role in supporting the management of the accounting advisory practice, including developing new services for clientsBe involved in the development of more junior staff, including providing training and acting as a coach and mentor to team membersDeliver compelling engagement proposals which result in winning engagementsDevelop and maintain relationships with clients and team membersActively contribute to the Accounting Advisory strategy, team management and other non-delivery aspects of the roleYour team: Accounting Advisory is one of KPMG's fastest growing departments. We are a team of passionate, diverse, self-motivated and driven accountants who love the work that we do and the value it adds for our clients. We provide specialist accounting advice to clients across a range of areas. Our client list includes some of Ireland's largest publicly quoted and private companies along with large multi-national companies within our international network.
Our projects focus on the application of technical accounting and is highly transaction driven. The accounting advice we provide ranges from one-off accounting queries, to accounting policy/GAAP conversions, implementation support for new accounting standards, group restructurings, and providing training. We often work cross-functionally with our teams in KPMG's Transaction Services, Corporate Finance, Management Consultancy, Legal Services and Tax departments.
