What you'll needBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related fieldCurrently pursuing or an interest in pursuing a professional Accounting/Finance qualification2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable/accounts assistant or a similar accounting roleStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficient in using accounting software and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Xero, Excel, Google Sheets)Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlinesCommitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional ethicsExperience with VAT returns (not a prerequisite) Ideally, we are looking for a person who is professional, has a can-do attitude, who is confident in their skills and enthusiastic about the next step in their career.

About the roleWe're seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to take a hands-on approach to our Accounts Receivable flow, implementing new processes and rethinking old ones. You will work closely with the finance team contributing to month-end close procedures and also collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

What you'll do?Process and record customer invoices in the accounting system (Xero)Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable and send payment remindersReconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepanciesPrepare accounts receivable ageing reports and analyse collection trendsAssist with the month-end close process, including account reconciliations and journal entriesProvide support for external audits by preparing requested documentation and responding to inquiriesMaintain accurate and organised financial recordsCollaborate with the Sales and Customer Success teams to ensure timely invoicing and collectionPerform other accounting and administrative duties as assignedCover and support for other team members when needed (e.g. Accounts Payable)Identify blockages and teasing-out solutions with the rest of the team in order to continue improving upon our existing processes.Help the rest of the Finance team finalise special projects and initiatives that arise as a result of our company growth.
