Accounts Assistant

Suir Engineering have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant within the Finance Team.
This is a Permanent Contract and will report to the Financial Reporting Manager.
The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced work environment where there is a key focus on continuous improvement while also delivering high quality, reliable services to other departments within the Suir group.

What you will be doing * Bank reconciliations to be completed daily for a number of bank and credit card accounts to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
* Responsible for posting large volumes of bank and credit card transactions to the nominal ledger ensuring accuracy daily.
* Responsible for upload of multiple weekly BACS payment files.
* Responsible for processing large volume of manual bank payments as requested.
* Setting up beneficiary bank details on banking platform as required.
* Respond to payment queries and issues in a timely and efficient manner to resolve discrepancies.
* Support with payment of urgent business critical transfers.
* Maintains a strong set of financial controls ensuring that their area of responsibility is compliant with the group policy.
* Maintain organized documentation of bank statements and transaction history.
* Any other ad hoc tasks as may be required.
Is this job for me?
* Experience gained in a similar role would be an advantage.
* Ability to work with high volume transactions and meet tight deadlines.
* Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
* High degree of computer literacy with experience in MS Office is essential.
* Proficiency in accounting software.
* Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational and analytical skills.
* A good communicator with experience in dealing with internal and external stakeholders such as colleagues, Senior Management and external organisations.
* Enthusiastic and willing to learn about company procedures and systems.
