Accounts Assistant - New Role

College Group are a privately held company founded in 1989. We are the largest processor and exporter of animal by-products in Ireland. Diversification and investment strategy has resulted in large scale developments in the production of biofuels and the manufacture of organic fertilisers. Continuous development has led to expansion into renewable energy with solar installation and planned renewable gas production.
Due to continued growth & development, w e are currently seeking to recruit an Accounts Assistant role to join our expanding Finance Team in Nobber, Co. Meath.
The Accounts Assistant role will review bank reconciliations and support the team where required on all aspects of month end duties.
The role will be reporting to the senior accountant, while working closely with the Management Team.
  RESPONSIBILITIES: Review of Bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records Review of month end reports; creditor & debtors control reports Preparation of weekly accounts, monthly nominal ledger and trial balance Ensure compliance with p reparation and submission of Revenue & Statutory returns Monitor and control of weekly reports Assist in the preparation of file for year end audits.
  Qualifications and Skills: Good attention to detail Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role Experience working with SAGE 200 is an advantage An accounting qualification such as CPA or ATI would be an advantage Proficient in Microsoft Office (in particular Excel) Strong communication skills
