SUMMARY OF ROLE: Reporting to the Group Accounts Manager, the role of the Accounts Assistant – Subcontractor Payments is to provide a centralised accounting centre for all supplier and subcontractor invoices, queries and payments in an efficient and accurate manner. The Accounts Assistant needs to develop strong relationships with both office and site staff to ensure they understand business needs and provide effective, relevant support.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintaining Subcontractor PaymentsRCT NotificationsEntry of Invoices/Certs/Payments on EVision (Accounts System)Preparation of excel summary of paymentsPreparation of Quarterly RCT ReturnBank ReconciliationsCredit Card ReconciliationsAssist with Job Cost ReportingKEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar role, construction preferred.Experience in EVision (Business Central) is preferred, though training will be provided.Accounting Technician qualification is preferred.Ability to handle fiscal information with sensitivity and discretion.High aptitude in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Outlook).Strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work both independently and in a team.Efficient and organised individual who can multi-task.Ability to build strong working relationships with a wide range of people.COMPANY BENEFITS: Bonus SchemeCompany PensionLife AssuranceProfessional membership feesEmployee referral incentiveProfessional development & training opportunitiesCompany sponsored events & social activitiesThis job description is intended to cover the minimum duties and responsibilities required for this position.
