Job Summary:Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounts Payable Assistant position will be a key member of the Finance department, supporting with the processing of sales invoices and dealing with suppliers.
Responsibilities:Processing high volumes of accounts payable invoices.Processing Sales and Purchases Invoices.Ensuring the correct VAT treatment for invoices.Corresponding with suppliers in response to enquiries.Corresponding with other departments within the organisation to resolve queries.Resolving invoice discrepancies.Reconciliation of suppliers' accounts.The above statements are intended to describe the essential responsibility of the person assigned to this role.

Required Qualifications:Accounting Technician, business studies, or equivalent certification.
Experience:3-4 years accounts payable and/or general accounting experience.
Experience in Accounts Payable, understanding the basic principles of accounting and bookkeeping.
Experience with a computerised accounts package.
Excellent IT skills including Microsoft suite.Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.Good organisational skills.Be a strong team member with the ability to identify and drive efficiency improvements.Ability to work effectively under time and delivery pressures.Ability to build relationships with suppliers and coordinate with other departments to ensure cohesive actions that involve the finance department.Location: Cork Office
