Job Description: Accounts Payable Co-Ordinator
Summary: We are looking for an organised, energetic, and dependable finance professional. As a growing credit manager, we are building an institutional quality infrastructure. With an opportunity to learn about the essential business functions of an investment manager, you will be at the heart of our finance function.
The Accounts Payable Co-Ordinator will be responsible for running the accounts payable function, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all vendor invoices and payments. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial services, good communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.
The Accounts Payable Co-Ordinator will report to the Finance Manager and ultimately develop the experience and skillset to lead an accounts payable function and support the overall finance function and wider firm in their strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the processing of invoices and payments to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.Manage the monthly closing of accounts payable, including bank reconciliations and prepare necessary reports.Ensure proper reconciliation of supplier control accounts.Pro-actively resolve any ongoing aged payable balances and supplier queries.Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to increase efficiency and accuracy.Participate in system upgrades and automation projects related to bookkeeping and accounts payable.Prepare internal and external cost analysis and reporting, including Payment Practices Reporting.Assist in the review and maintenance of annual expense budgets and associated reporting to budget owners.Skills and Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years' experience in accounts payable processing and co-ordination.Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping processes, including VAT.Experience with the Workday accounting software would be an advantage.High level of attention to detail, and independent thinker and problem-solver.Good software skills, especially Excel and Outlook.Ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies and adapt processes.Ability to communicate and coordinate with a diverse range of people and work in a team-oriented environment.
