Barden are currently assisting our client who is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist (Payments Specialist) for a long-term contract with a rapidly growing and expanding multinational pharmaceutical company. Salary is up to 54k for the right person and you will be working with an experienced high performing team you can collaborate with and learn from.
We are delighted to be partnering once again with a client of ours who have an exciting new role within their Accounts Payable team specialising in Payments.
Open due to internal promotion, this role reports directly to the Accounts Payable Manager you'd be a key member of the payments function, serving as the company contact for all EMEA payments.
You will also be working closely with cash management and AP accounting teams to ensure there is no ageing on bank reconciliation items and with other teams across the department on continuous improvement projects.
ABOUT THE ROLE: Running of twice weekly multi-currency batch paymentsManual payment request processing (tax, product payments, interview expenses and travel advances)Processing supplier and employee expense payments for Emerging marketsWorking with cash management and Accounting teams on bank rec items and follow-up on aged itemsSharing responsibility for ticketing system and shared mailbox to manage queriesMonth end activity in conjunction with wider teamResponsibility for keeping an up to date and functioning payment approval schedule and bank matrixPreparation and maintenance of payment templatesMaintain SOPsAssistance with on internal and external audit requests as requiredInvolvement in departmental and cross functional Continuous Improvement projectsPerform other duties and projects as assignedABOUT THE PERSON: Energetic and positive person who wants to contribute in a team environmentHighly process driven with a continuous improvement approach to tasksStrong attention to detail and focus3-5 years' PTP experience in a fast-paced multi-national environment – experience in payments an advantageStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisationApply with your CV
