We are hiring a Activity Coordinator for a leading Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.
Permanent, full-time , Hours of Work: 78 hours fortnightly Responsibilities Develop a professional rapport with residents.
Ensure that residents are greeted and welcomed to participate in activities that are appropriate to them.
Obtain information from residents and/or their families regarding their interests and skills. Plan activities programmes collaboratively with individual patients.
Organize, supervise, and implement therapeutic and recreational programmes for the patients in conjunction with activity team colleagues.
Plan, supervise, and accompany patients on appropriate outings.
Engage patients in both group and individual activities as deemed appropriate.
Observe general behavior, ability, and response from residents.
Record observations in the in the resident's clinical notes and communicate it to the ward nursing staff and wider MDT team.
Take part in the audit process in relation to recreational and activity programmes in line with regulation requirements of the Mental Health Commission.
Maintain competency and practice in attendance at and completion of required training and education Requirements QQI Level 5 (8 modules) in Healthcare or equivalent is an advantage.
Minimum of 6 months experience as an Activities Coordinator, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Healthcare Assistant.
Previous experience in a mental health setting is an advantage.
