Saol Assurance trading as AIB life We are seeking to hire ambitious graduate(s) for our Actuarial Graduate program.
The successful candidates will be actively involved in contributing to the future development and ambitious growth plans of the company.
The Role: The Actuarial Graduate(s) will be involved in a variety of work across the wider actuarial function including: pricing, product development, actuarial modelling and actuarial operations.
All graduates will get exposure to Saol Assurances full product range, which currently includes Protection, Pensions and Investments.
Reporting to an actuarial manager, the role holder(s) will work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver for the business.
The Actuarial Graduate(s) will get exposure to some of the following: Pricing Develop actuarial models for new products and changes to existing product structures Carry out profitability and capital analyses for any new product launches or changes to existing product structures Contributing to the companys reinsurance activities, including any new reinsurance tenders or addendums Ongoing monitoring of wider market trends regarding pricing Completing annual experience analysis reviews and provide actuarial input into the wider assumption setting process Product Contribute to the development, enhancement and ongoing management of protection, pensions and investment products and the investment fund proposition Initiate, drive and deliver the development and implementation of new products, initiatives and propositions to meet the changing requirements and anticipated future needs of the business and our customers to deliver efficient and high-quality solutions including direct to customer offerings Development of new product launches, including specifying system requirements, designing policy wording and marketing material, and delivering training to the sales network Implement and enhance the product lifecycle framework to ensure each product continues to deliver against expectations, meets the needs of the customers in the target market and that all relevant regulatory and disclosure requirements continue to be met Develop and manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including our asset managers and admin providers Modelling Provide modelling expertise for the development of Saols actuarial models (predominantly Prophet) Support the Actuarial Reporting team optimise existing processes and implement new transactions and products through the design and development of the required actuarial modelling solutions Support the review and development of relevant actuarial methodologies and techniques.
This will include keeping up to date with industry developments and new technologies to keep pace with changing demands and requirements Undertake the quarterly model release process Ensure actuarial models meet Saol Assurances governance standards Manage the FIS Cloud environment, including Prophet Professional, IDR, EAS and Prophet Enterprise.
Actuarial Operations Build and manage relevant calculation tools facilitate the end to end testing of Saol Assurances administration system.
Engage with the Head of Product and Head of Pricing to drive changes and improvements to calculation tools for new launches and changes to existing products.
Ensure the stability of the calculation tools through ongoing maintenance and governance Working across the organisation and with partners, identify opportunities for developments and improvements to these calculation tools Interaction with external vendors on manual queries and calculation issues.
Data analysis into trends across ASU, Pricing and Actuarial.

You will need to show us that you have: A recent graduate from an actuarial/mathematical/finance/related degree, or working towards a degree in those fields Achieved/on track for a 2.1 honours degree or above Intention to sit the actuarial exams through the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries Experience working as part of a team Coding/VBA/Excel experience would be beneficial Prior knowledge of Life Insurance/Investments would be beneficial Experience working in a remote environment would be beneficial Skills: actuarial modelling actuarial operations Actuarial Benefits: Flexible working Performance Bonus wellbeing allowance
