Clarinbridge Care Centre has a broad spectrum of care to including Spinal and Rehab Care, Complex Care, and a Rehabilitation programme for young people living with brain and spinal injuries following an accident, trauma, illness or stroke.
This role will report directly to the Director of Nursing.
Purpose: To support the administrative function of the Director of Nursing and other such duties as required.
Responsibilities and Duties: General Administration Dealing with; telephone queries; taking messages; DON diary Maintaining and ordering stationery stocks Filing, photocopying, faxing, mailing, printing, collaborating and binding documents Maintain records in line with HIQA requirements and reporting Fire Safety admin Schedules and Agendas for meetings. Take minutes at meetings.
Quality Policy and procedure development Development of Audit tools as requested by DON Inputting and analysing data from clinical audits client feedback etc Attention to HIQA detail and ensuring compliance with the standards Collaborating data from audits to assist the DON in compiling the yearly review.
Assisting with HIQA reports if required by DON.
Admissions Set up, and maintain complete files for Residents in line with the Company's policies and procedures and H.I.Q.A.
standards and regulations.
Contracts of Care for all Residents, Change of Doctor Forms, Renewal of Medical Cards, Input all appointments on Eppicare for residents and inform Nurses of same.
Book transport when necessary for Residents.
Keep Voting Register up to date.
Print Daily Census everyday Maintain inquiry list with DON Project Work Provide administrative and project support-document formatting as directed by the DON To undertake such other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Director of Nursing Be aware of the confidential nature of the work and in particular, the right of residents to confidentiality.
To this end you will not discuss workings of the Home or its residents with people outside the Home.
Analysis of national reports & guidelines review for the Windmill Healthcare group to support & expand services we offer.
Qualifications Essential Third level qualification desirable Experience in MS Office- Excel, Work Outlook, Powerpoint Desirable Previous experience is desirable or evidence of professional development and ongoing education.
Professional knowledge Essential Demonstrate knowledge of healthcare and HIQA requirements Previous experience in a similar role Demonstrate and understanding of Health & Safety requirements/legislation Must be organised, motivated with excellent attention to detail, confidential and trustworthy Ability to plan and foresee the needs of the DON office Core Aptitudes Must demonstrate an interest in residents and their needs Have good communication and interpersonal skills Flexible, ability to work to deadlines and inform the DON of work-related issues in a timely way.
Ability to work without instruction.
