The AWS Environmental team is looking for a skilled Air Quality expert in Dublin or London to join an expanding and dynamic team critical to enabling AWS's growth around the world, as well as ensuring compliance of AWS's global operations. The Environmental team has responsibility for developing and implementing AWS's global environmental programs.

We are seeking an Air Quality expert to support air emissions modeling, permitting and ongoing compliance for AWS in EMEA and APAC. The air quality expert will drive global standards and policies to support regulatory compliance and provide appropriate air quality guidance and expertise to the wider Environmental teams and business partners in EMEA and APAC. They will work with internal and external partners that include government entities, contractors, consultants, design, construction, operations and other key stakeholders.

The air quality expert must have excellent communication skills, strong environmental regulatory knowledge, demonstrated success in program development and project management of complex and technical projects.

Key job responsibilities:

Support the growth of the business through in-depth technical reviews of air permitting, air emissions modeling, air impact assessments and air quality management in EMEA and APAC regions.Develop and drive EMEA and APAC regional strategic air programs and goals to improve internal processes and capabilities by integrating with engineering, construction, and operations - drive an environmentally responsible culture within the organization.Lead change in multiple jurisdictions influencing those that are not direct reports or within your organization.Ensure work performed by contractors, consultants, and employees is completed in accordance with Amazon standards.Develop environmental metrics to measure, monitor and forecast performance.Prioritize and manage multiple technically complex assignments concurrently.Represent Amazon at appropriate levels with governmental agencies and throughout the company.Build collaborative relationships with various stakeholders to ensure risks are identified early and managed appropriately.Complete thorough and accurate environmental air quality incident investigations and develop appropriate corrective actions.

- Experience in air quality modeling, permitting and assessments in multiple regions.
- Broad knowledge of regional environmental regulations and programs, successfully implementing environmental systems.
- Project management skills with proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with senior leaders inside and outside the company.
- Experience in a fast paced, changing/growing organization.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
