Ryanair is pleased to announce that we are accepting applications for our Aircraft Maintenance Technician Traineeship Programme.
Our Aircraft Maintenance Traineeship runs in conjunction with City Dublin Educational Training Board, Finglas Campus and Atlantic Aviation Group. This is a 106-week programme during which you will participate in both classroom and hands-on training: 40 weeks in City of Dublin Finglas Campus and 66 weeks with host company Ryanair. Upon successful completion of this programme, you will qualify for an EASA Part 66 Cat A Maintenance Engineers Licence, allowing you to grow your career.

What does the Traineeship Cover? The course includes Theory, Workshop Practical Training, Aircraft Practical Training, and On-the-Job Experience, with the on-the-job experience taking place in Ryanair, Dublin Airport. At the end of the Training Programme, successful trainees will be able to apply to the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) for their EASA Cat A Aircraft Maintenance licence.
Phase 1 – Initial Training The theory training is divided into 12 modules/subjects and is intermixed with practical training and examinations. This phase is 40 weeks in duration. The 12 theory modules that trainees undertake are as follows:
MathematicsPhysicsElectrical FundamentalsDigital TechniquesMaterials and HardwareMaintenance PracticesBasic AerodynamicsHuman FactorsAviation LegislationAeroplane Aerodynamics, Structures & SystemsGas Turbine enginesPropellersPhase 2 – Practical Training (On-the-Job) In this phase, all the theory and practical training are consolidated on the aircraft and support workshops. Candidates will carry out duties on all areas of an aircraft such as cabin, wings, engines, etc. Maintenance activities are carried out under the guidance of Production Staff and the Training Academy within the Aircraft Maintenance facility. The trainees will put into practice all they have learned for the remainder of their training period and gather experience in all the areas of aircraft maintenance. On-the-Job training assessments along with regular reviews will be conducted to assess trainees.
Entry RequirementsCandidates must be over 17 years of age to be considered for the Traineeship Programme.Candidates must have successfully completed a Leaving Certificate with a minimum Grade C or H5 or O4 in Maths.A pass grade in a technical subject would be an advantage.Candidates must be eligible to live and work in Ireland.Candidates must possess English Language Proficiency – (IELT 5.5 Average).If you would like a career in the Aviation Industry, visit www.fetchcourses.ie to apply using code 446670.Recruitment process Suitable candidates will be invited to undergo the following steps.
