Location : Cedar Drive, Dublin
Scope of Role • Work as a team of Warehouse Handlers and maintain smooth warehouse operations.
• Handle cargo movement and perform loading and unloading of trucks/containers.
• Plan resources and capacity (space, people).
Reports to : Head of Handling – Air Lead Handling
Dotted Reporting line : Head of Operations
Days & Hours of Work : Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week, Between 9am – 7pm weekly shift rotation
Accountabilities: Key Activities: Monitor daily operation of the warehouse air section with the team lead.Ensure implementation of Quality Management Systems.Collaborate with team members to develop KPIs and monitor individual performance.Ensure compliance with company quality procedures for contracted suppliers.Maintain proactive communication and relationships with peers, superiors, and immediately inform the superior of any discrepancies, problems, non-performance, or non-observance.Work closely with the supervisor to safely manage trailer load capacity.Print off export manifests and trailer check sheets for each load, attaching LUS label.Mark any discrepancies on both the manifest and trailer check sheets when trailers are loaded/offloaded and ensure they are signed.Notify the shift supervisor immediately of any damages and take pictures.Cross-check the number of manifests and shipping documents.Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of PPE by all team members and warehouse visitors.Participate in daily cleaning functions and sign off on the check sheet.Label import/export freight as required.Load and offload domestic and international vehicles, mark manifests, and notify discrepancies and damages.Complete all warehouse-related documentation for operations.Perform all warehouse-related tasks in the Roadfreight application (Freightsoft).Address operational irregularities, customer complaints, and implement corrective actions.Perform physical barcode scanning as required.Maintain good housekeeping, including daily emptying of bins.Coordinate loading of Road Export vehicles on Saturdays and complete final weekly inventories.Order, control stock, and maintain warehouse supplies and equipment.Monitor day-to-day health and safety in the warehouse and highlight areas of concern.Facilitate customer and quality audits.Control the DGF bonded warehouse.Work closely with the Yardman to manage trailer capacity and lane control.Send all papers and manifests to Cedar Drive as soon as possible.Serve as the key point of contact for Air & Ocean Operations.Ensure adherence to DGF procedures for handling Air & Ocean cargo.Monitor warehouse compliance with Aviation Security regulations.Perform Dangerous Goods (DG) checks for Air Export cargo.Manage resources in collaboration with Warehouse Supervisors.Coordinate sub-contractor feeder vehicles to the Airport.Become proficient in specialist modes of transport for Airfreight, such as Dry Ice, Envirotainers, ULD loading, and the use of thermal blankets.Participate in the implementation of operational processes and perform work to the standards of Good Distribution practice (GDP) for Life Science business, as required.Skills/Qualifications: Two years of experience in a similar role.Forklift operating and hand pallet truck operating skills.Relevant working safety regulation knowledge.Understanding of each customer's needs.Capacity to set clear and realistic goals and objectives.Leadership and training skills to develop team members.Expected Qualifications: Ability to work effectively, independently, and in a team environment.IATA Dangerous Goods.ACSP-trained.GDP-trained.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to this role.
