What is the opportunity? We are eagerly looking to recruit an AMO Manager to join our Data Solutions team within Bank of Ireland! You will work in a team of like-minded professionals with a broad range of experience and backgrounds across Data, IT and the Business.
You will help craft, guide, and establish the ways of working, participate in exciting transformation initiatives and be part of a team that helps develop strategic capabilities to enable the bank to develop and maintain its strategic asset.
As an AMO Manager you will assist in the central oversight and support of the governance and management of the Data Solutions Team within the Group Data & Analytics Office (GDAO).
In this role, you will: Contribute to the Implementation of Governance frameworks, process and procedures to monitor the delivery across Data Solutions and ensure we are adhering to standards. Produce comprehensive MI to support the operational running of the team, including setting targets and reporting on same. Work with appropriate parties to develop and maintain processes and governance to support delivery performance, effective management and service acceptance. Contribute to and implement elements of the Data Solutions transformation plan, including collaborating with other teams within Data Solutions, GDAO, and across the Group. What will make you stand out? The successful candidate will have experience as an AMO or PMO Manager or in a similar role. You are familiar with the central PMO function in either delivery or an Operational area in Change/ IT / Data. You will possess strong leadership skills and experience in resource management, governance, cost planning and budget estimations.
You have good communication and interpersonal skills, you are a self-starter with ability to work on own initiative and confirmed ability to provide high standards of work. You are proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, JIRA and Confluence, and have strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
Experience with any of the following will help you to stand out:
Understanding of Change and Technical/Data project deliveries and ability to use that knowledge to support processes and activities to ensure requirements are met effectively and efficiently. Working knowledge of the PPM tools such as Clarity, Jira. Financial and Resource Management - experience in reporting on financials and resourcing and trend analysis of same. Working Knowledge of BI analytical tools such as PowerBI, Tableau. Knowledge of a range of delivery models including Waterfall, Agile and DevOps. More about the team Data Solutions within the Group Data and Analytics Office functions to enable Bank of Ireland to exploit data assets across the enterprise to drive incremental value to the organization. This is achieved through greater collaboration, a focus on building comprehensive data-specific capabilities through a product management approach and increasing execution agility through modern ways of working and delegated decision-making.
This is a hybrid onsite role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration - exact frequency to be agreed with manager.
