Analytical Chemist

Details of the offer

The Analytical Chemist conducts qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses to support quality control, research & development, environmental compliance, and sustainability goals. They ensure that raw materials and products meet industry standards and comply with regulatory requirements through precise testing and data interpretation.
Key ResponsibilitiesChemical Analysis: Conduct routine and specialised analyses of raw materials, wastewater, and finished products using analytical methods such as VOC emission chamber testing (EN 717-1), spectrometry, and wet chemistry techniques.Instrument management: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments such as spectrophotometers, emission test chambers, and volumetric pipettes, ensuring laboratory equipment and instruments are calibrated and validated.Documentation: Accurately record, interpret, and report data and laboratory activities in line with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) to support decision-making with attention to sustainability outcomes.Troubleshoot and refine analytical processes and communicate the results of studies and trials internally and externally as required.Method Development: Develop, validate, and implement analytical methods ensuring they meet required standards for precision and reliability.Quality Control: Ensure products meet specifications, regulatory standards, and sustainability criteria through rigorous testing.Collaboration: Work with teams across departments and external partners to support compliance, environmental health & safety, and contribute to the development of sustainable products.Typical Qualifications, Knowledge and ExperienceEducation: Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with GLP, GMP, and relevant industry regulations.Accuracy and reliability of analytical results.Efficiency in method development and validation.Compliance with environmental health & safety and regulatory standards.Contribution to R&D and sustainability initiatives.Timeliness in reporting and documentation, including sustainability metrics.To apply, please send your CV and Cover Letter to: ****** with 'Analytical Chemist' in the subject line.
