The Analytical Sciences Team Lead will be responsible for coordination and management of the day-to-day execution of analytical method transfer projects.
They will manage and develop the team to ensure the relevant skill sets are available to ensure project delivery.
They will support the analytical scientists to solve daily issues, while playing a part in designing and implementing the global analytical strategy.
They must demonstrate wider business and lab operations knowledge and the ability to act with a wider business context in mind.
They must develop key contacts within the network to ensure the success of new product transfers.
Main responsibilities: Act as delegate for AS ManagerProvide analytical chemistry services and support to SiteInteract effectively with other departments on matters related to raw materials, intermediates, and finished batch releases, maintaining close contact with Quality Assurance, Production, Engineering, and PlannersMaintain, update, and issue chemical methods, specifications, and SOPs in compliance with pharmacopoeial and regulatory requirementsCoordinate training of the analysts in all areas to ensure business needs can be metReview and approve technical reportsUpdate the AS manager on potential problems and highlight improvements where possibleIdentify and implement Continuous Improvement projects in support of improved ways of workingAccountable for delivering method transfers, Development to ValidationAbout youDegree in Science or related area (Chemistry, Biochemistry preferred)Skills and Knowledge: Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in a laboratory environment – ideally part of which would be in the pharma or biopharma sectorExperience of managing teams would be an advantageEffective facilitatorGood communication skills at organization, team, and individual levelsUnderstands KPIs for the team and siteNatural influencer and works well as part of a multi-functional teamAdaptable and flexible as well as a pragmatically minded problem solverEnergetic in the pursuit of improved processes and ultimately improved performanceStrong patient focusWhy choose us?Bring the miracles of science to life alongside a supportive, future-focused teamDiscover endless opportunities to grow your talent and drive your career, whether it's through a promotion or lateral move, at home or internationallyEnjoy a thoughtful, well-crafted rewards package that recognizes your contribution and amplifies your impactExperience a great insight into the pharmaceutical industryPursue Progress.
