Job Description Join us at the forefront of innovation as we design and develop cutting-edge Android applications for our mission-critical ASTRO two-way communication devices.
This role is your chance to grow and showcase your talents alongside a group of seasoned experts, from product owners to technical leads, architects, and project delivery teams.
As a key player in our collaborative environment, you'll have the opportunity to drive the development and enhancement of Android applications.
You'll work with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, craft, and launch new features that make a real difference in critical communication technology.
"Responsibilities:Lead/Manage all aspects of the product development process including requirement definition, design, implementation and testing.Able to manage engineering and also project the software for the products.Collaborate with different stakeholders from SW development, System Test, PDM, SCM, Quality and Hardware.Responsible for timeline alignment and resources management.Inter-group and intra-group teamwork in a multi-site world-wide development environment.Responsible for meeting project deliverables and timeline requirements in a highly dynamic environment.Manage team's performance and quality metrics.Contribute to the improvement of existing software development processes.Analyze, design, develop and maintain software for the organization's products and systems.Participating in code reviews, refactoring, and testing activities to ensure the delivery of robust and efficient softwarePerforming software best practices including Unit Test, Test Automation, Continuous Integration and Knowledge sharing activitiesStaying up to date with the latest Android technologies and industry trendsBasic RequirementsRequirements:A degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline with experience building cross-platform native apps (iOS and/or Android) and web applicationsThorough knowledge of Android mobile app deployment using Java or Kotlin and familiarity with Android SDK, Android StudioPrior experience in version control systems and Exposure to Jetpack Compose with hands-on experience in building UIsFamiliarity with wide range of Android Framework components such as Bluetooth, Sensors, Widgets, Services, etc.Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect applications to back-end serviceKnowledgeable in modern mobile and frontend build pipelines and toolsFamiliarity with Android security features and mechanismsSolid understanding of software engineering principles and practicesExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesIn return for your expertise, we'll support you in this new challenge with coaching & development every step of the way.
