Architect - Conservation - Urgent

IT Staff is recruiting Architects to work on conservation, refurbishment and fit-out projects with a major Irish government agency who is responsible for the management of over 100 State Owned Heritage Buildings in Dublin, including Dublin Castle, National Museum of Ireland Collins Barracks, the Four Courts, Custom House and Rathfarnham Castle.
The projects will involve conservation, fit-out, new works and maintenance at state offices and cultural institutions in Dublin.
Some projects may also include working with specialist crafts people on historic joinery, plasterwork and metalwork.
The candidate will be required to produce Autocad drawing packages, procure projects, work with a design team and manage works on site.
Candidates are expected to have 5 years post-graduation experience including managing projects on site.
Good design and drawing skills are essential.
Conservation experience is desirable and a keen interest in historic structures is expected.
Education & Experience It is preferable that Architects to have either a relevant postgraduate qualification in building conservation and/or two (2) years (of the three (3) required) relevant work experience in the conservation of historic buildings and/or national monuments.
Additional Preferable Experience: All Personnel should display the following preferable skills and experience: Prior working experience in the field of building conservation, whether working on protected structures and / or heritage buildings and/or sites and / or monuments.
Prior working experience on public buildings and / or buildings with government function.
Fully conversant, proficient, and up to date knowledge of AutoCAD for the production of contract documentation.
The contracts are for a 3 to 4 year period initially offered on a 1 year basis and extended by a further 2 to 3 years.
Our client offer Dublin or Trim based roles with Hybrid options it is 37 hour week Monday to Friday .
