The principal responsibility of the Surgical Area Manager will be business development and clinical support with key target customers specifically in the area of surgical devices and surgical robotics.
The territory involved will include Hospitals in the South Dublin area.
Key Outcomes This is a sales role and involves presenting, demonstrating, and providing clinical support in the operating theatre.
Taking ownership and accountability for area sales revenue, meeting and exceeding targets and ensuring optimal customer outcomes.
Pipeline development through identification of new business opportunities and upselling to existing customers.
Develop customer relationships and become a valued partner with key stakeholders and decision makers.
Collaborate effectively with various internal teams such as customer service and the wider operations team.
Assist customers with clinical, technical, and commercial enquiries.
Conduct comprehensive continuous research to identify market competitor activity including threats, price strategies and key differentiators.
Provide valuable feedback and innovative ideas on ways to improve the sales process.
Implementation of new product launches and other corporate activities within area of responsibility.
Attend and take ownership of organising sponsorship at relevant conferences and meetings.

Requirements Key Skills & Experiences Commercial awareness with a min of 5+ years' sales experience (preferably in medical/hospital environment) This is a surgical sales role so selling to and supporting surgeons is of paramount importance.
Clinical experience in the operating theatre is advantageous but not essential.
Being comfortable in the operating theatre is essential.
Determined and target driven with the ability to "Close" sales.
Ability to confidently communicate our brand and company value propositions.
Excellent organizational and planning skills are a pre-requisite for this role as is a high reliance on personal drive and initiative.
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Working with integrity and customer centricity is at the forefront of this role.
Education and practical experience to deal with the complex medical device technologies in a clinical background would be advantageous.
Proficiency with all general business computer tools and applications is essential.
High energy, resilient and a passion for selling.
Full driver's License.
Experience & Background: Proven track record in sales Consistently meet and exceed target.
Background in medical/surgical device or hospital sales with a track record of sales is highly desirable.
Background in FMCG, Utility or any commercial sales will be considered provided the desire and delivery of success is evident.
Third level business or clinical qualification will be seen as a distinct advantage.

Location Requirements Candidate will ideally be based in the greater Dublin area or close by Area covers hospitals on the south side of Dublin.
