The Role: AsIAm is seeking a Community Employment Officer, who will play an integral role within the Adult Support and Employment department.
The role reports directly to the Head of Adult Support and Employment.
This role is best suited to someone who is familiar with issues facing the Autistic community and has experience in the area of employment and coaching.
They would be comfortable liaising with corporate clients and promoting AsIAms services and supports.
A core aspect of the role will focus on working with Autistic job seekers.
Identifying employment roles through leads generated internally and externally with companies, building relationships with key personnel within these organisations and supporting them towards becoming more inclusive.
We particularly welcome applications from neurodivergent individuals.
Key Responsibilities: Support the implementation and development of AsIAms Employment Programme Provide direction and support to autistic candidates seeking employment Develop positive relationships with key stakeholders, communities, businesses (including Communities of Practice), and the autism community Assist with AsIAm Communities of Practice and events Participate in company projects and collaborations with other companies Deliver careers workshops for the Autistic community including HEI students Develop an internship and graduate programme between HEIs and companies Provide 1:1 career supports for individuals seeking employment Monitor both successes and challenges and prepare comprehensive reports for the Head of Adult Support and Employment/ executive as required Participate in the overall team to ensure collaborative teamwork and support other team members as required Key Requirements: Degree level qualification in a related profession 3-5 years-experience in training development and delivery or similar relevant experience Excellent attention to detail Previous sales/promotions experience would be advantageous Previous work experience in the Autism or Disability sector is an advantage but not essential.
Knowledge or awareness ofautism and neurodiversity in the context of employment Previous experience supporting Autistic individuals Willingness to travel Contract Duration This is an initial 1-year contract with the potential to extend.
Salary & Benefits Salary will align with Grade IV as set out in the HSE Consolidated Pay Grades Location / Working Hours The role is based in AsIAms head office in Blackrock, Dublin and is Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Hybrid working arrangements can be facilitated for this role in agreement with the line manager.
The role holder is required to have a degree of flexibility with regard to working hours with the expectation of some evening and weekend work.
