Assistant Accommodation Manager

Main purpose of the job: To supervise and ensure the smooth and efficient cleaning and servicing of the premises - its rooms, bathrooms, corridors, public areas and toilets, presenting a clean fresh environment to approved standard for the guests; in laundry work, to ensure the cleaning and laundering of all hotel linen to a suitable standard.
This role may include practical housekeeping tasks as required Main responsibilities of Accommodation / housekeeping supervisor To communicate with reception staff at beginning of shift for guest requirements, group arrival times and throughout shift re room readiness and any additional items that may be required for guest bedrooms.
To designate jobs to housekeeping staff and ensure all are aware of their daily duties.
To ensure adequate staff are on duty to service number of rooms in use and laundry.
To check the laundry is serviced to the appropriate standard; and to check all bedrooms in your section are serviced to the appropriate standard and if not to communicate necessary amendments to staff.
To carry out stock audits and order additional items for rooms as needed.
Maintain par stock of bedroom toiletry products and ordering additional supplies where necessary.
To carry out any additional duties notified to you by management concerning accommodation services and general cleaning projects.
