POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) section.
As an Assistant Accountant, you will support FP&A team members as needed and collaborate with various departments within Tuath Housing, including Housing and Property Services, by providing essential financial assistance.
The Successful Candidate Will: Maintain data in RAM (Real Asset Management) on a daily basis.
This includes adding new units and ensuring the components for each unit are up to date.
(Currently the new components are expensed, with new staff resources we will be capitalising any new components and calculating depreciation charge).
Provide support in insurance reconciliation and any aspects related to insurance cover.
Monitor project expenses, ensuring adherence to approved budgets.
Assist the Housing Department with LPT letter requests.
Monitor and track construction-related income, expenses, and grants, ensuring they are posted to the correct cost centres.
Provide financial assistance to the construction and development team as needed.
Ensure that data in the Stock List, RAM, and Affinity/MIS is accurate, and resolve any discrepancies.
Assist the FP&A and Asset teams with any ad hoc duties as required.
Provide financial support for the calculation of the LPT return.
Provide financial support for the annual impairment review.
Provide financial support during the audit.
Provide financial support in updating the assets and liabilities register with detailed information obtained from various documents.
Post adjusting journals as required.
Contribute to the development and improvement of financial procedures and internal controls.

GENERAL Participating in finance meetings as require.
Assisting with general administrative duties within the organisation as required.
Contributing to the effective delivery of a Quality Service through the formulation, review and proper implementation of policies and procedures.
Any other duties as required.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS You demonstrate the aptitude to self-manage your work and show initiative to improve current processes.
You have 1-2 years or more of experience in a similar housing/residential property environment and be a part-qualified accountant.
You have a proven record of reaching targets.
Have a Full Driving licence applicable in the Republic of Ireland (not essential) You can build relationships with other team members within the organisation.
You must be fluent in English.
You can work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
