About The Role Duties and Responsibilities of the Role: Sales Strategy & Planning: Assist in developing and implementing the hotel's annual sales and marketing plan.
Identify new business opportunities and markets to maximize revenue.
Collaborate with the Director of Sales to set sales targets and strategies.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, and travel agents.
Conduct site visits, presentations, and negotiations to close sales deals.
Attend industry events and trade shows to promote the hotel and establish new business connections.
Revenue Management: Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Work closely with the Revenue Management team to optimize room occupancy and average daily rates.
Analyse sales performance and provide insights for revenue forecasting and budget planning.
Team Leadership & Development: Supervise and support the Sales team, providing guidance and training to achieve departmental goals.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and mentor team members for career development.
Assist in recruitment and onboarding of new sales team members.
Event Coordination: Collaborate with the Events and Catering teams to manage group bookings and large-scale events.
Oversee contract negotiations and ensure all event details meet client expectations and hotel standards.
Reporting & Analysis: Prepare detailed sales reports and presentations for senior management.
Track and analyse key performance indicators to measure sales effectiveness.
Utilize CRM systems to maintain accurate records of sales activities and client information.
Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with the Front Office, Food and Beverage, and Operations teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Participate in weekly executive meetings to align sales strategies with overall hotel operations.
