Title: Assistant Group Purchasing Manager Reporting to: Group Purchasing Manager Role: Full time permanent Hours of Work: 39 Key Responsibilities: Reporting of key items from a cost control and purchasing perspective Data analysis of market trends on pricing and usage within the hotels.
Systems administration of Group Purchasing Systems Project management in-conjunction with Group Purchasing Manager on concepts and ideas.
Monthly and Ad-hoc reporting in line with business requirements.
Implement and maintain cost control measures to optimize procurement spending Reviewing of pricing throughout the Group in conjunction with the Group Purchasing Manager.
Liaising with hotels on system management.
Assist the Group Purchasing Manager in auditing & identifying specified costs in order to ensure that the appropriate internal control procedures are in place and followed Identify areas of cost savings and control.
Support the development and execution of procurement strategies.
Requirements: Good organisational and management skills and have a proven ability to work independently and to manage a large, diverse set of tasks and projects.
Excellent working knowledge of procurement regulations, procedures and cost control.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, (hospitality experience desirable not essential) Impeccable time-management and organisational skills.
Experience on a Purchasing system essential.
Relevant third level education Analytical drive and ability to independently perform market and industry analysis.
