We are currently seeking an Assistant Land Consultant to join our Land and Stakeholder Engagement Team to support the delivery of all land related elements of our projects from inception through to construction. This includes identifying affected landowners through a robust land referencing process, engaging with landowners to discuss the impact of the project on their lands, seeking consent from landowners to access private lands for surveys, and securing the necessary consents to acquire the land either through voluntary agreement or via the relevant statutory process. The Assistant Land Consultant will also support the delivery of the public consultation process, engaging with a range of project stakeholders including statutory and non-statutory bodies, landowners, members of the public, community groups, and businesses.
This exciting role will provide you with the opportunity to work within multi-disciplinary teams on major infrastructure projects across a broad range of sectors including Energy, Rail, Active Travel, Highways, and Water. We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills who can articulate complex information to a wide range of stakeholders in a manner which is clear and easy to understand. Knowledge of the various statutory planning processes in Ireland e.g. Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPOs), Railway Orders, Part 8, and Way leaving processes will also be advantageous.
Key responsibilities:Undertake Tailte Éireann Land Registry folio interpretation to identify affected landowners and other legal land interests.Assist in the preparation and issue of Requests for Information (RFIs) and Land Interest Questionnaires (LIQs) to relevant stakeholders.Undertake desktop research of land and property affected by infrastructure projects.Assist in the management of land and property information in GIS and online databases.Support the landowner engagement process including attending meetings with landowners to discuss the impact of project proposals on their lands and to obtain consent for surveys.Assist with the preparation of Statutory Orders documents including; Books of Reference, CPO Plans, and Schedules etc.Assist with the preparation and service of statutory notices e.g. Notice to Treat, Notice of Entry, Wayleave Notices etc.Support public consultation activities including preparation of consultation material e.g. project brochures/leaflets, website updates, and press releases etc. and attendance at public consultation events as required.Assist in the engagement with all project stakeholders including statutory and non-statutory bodies, landowners, members of the public, community groups, and businesses.Desirable skills / attributes:Degree educated in a land or planning related discipline e.g. Geography, Planning, or Estate / Property Management.Excellent communication skills, particularly in face-to-face meetings, as well as written mediums such as letters and emails.Flexibility in approach to managing workload, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise when necessary.Strong attention to detail particularly in the preparation of complex statutory process documents and plans.A confident individual with a positive outlook and an approachable friendly manner.The ability to work effectively within a large team, or to work alone as required.A highly motivated individual who is open to new challenges and will contribute to the growth of the Land and Stakeholder Engagement Team.At AtkinsRéalis we put Environment, Sustainability and Health & Safety at the heart of our business strategy.
