DescriptionOnsite - Leenane, GalwayPart-time - 2-3 days a week during the low season, 5 days a week during the main season (May-September).Overview:As the Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the smooth operation of Connemara Adventure Tours. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine your passion for tourism, customer service, and the great outdoors. You will have the flexibility to enjoy varied working hours, especially during the low season, and be part of a dynamic team in a stunning location.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCustomer Service & Sales:- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and WhatsApp with professionalism and efficiency.- Assist customers with bookings, handle payments, and ensure all necessary documents are prepared for arriving guests.- Support the implementation of our new cloud-based system during the low season.Operational Support:- Assist the bike mechanic and/or manager with meet & greets and luggage transfers.- Manage the tours office in the absence of the manager.- Perform administrative tasks such as invoicing, preparing documents for guides, booking ferries, and conducting monthly accommodation checks.Marketing and Content:- Contribute to updates on our website and app, and create engaging content.- Conduct marketing research to enhance Connemara Adventure Tours' presence in the market.Candidate Requirements:- High attention to detail and a systems-focused mindset.- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.- Fluent in English; proficiency in French or German is a significant advantage.- A passion for Connemara and a genuine interest in promoting hiking and biking tours.- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.- Strong customer service orientation with a proactive approach.- IT skills, including proficiency in standard office software. }- Commercial awareness with a keen interest in the travel industry.- Good time management skills.- A Full driving license is essential.What We Offer:Flexible working hours to support a healthy work-life balance.The chance to work in a small, dynamic team environment.Travel industry benefits for personal and professional growth.The opportunity to be part of a B-Corp certified company, committed to sustainability and positive social impact.If you are ready to embark on an exciting adventure with Connemara Adventure Tours and believe you are the ideal candidate for this role, please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why you would be a great fit for our team.
