The Purpose of the Role:The Department of Irish and Celtic Languages in the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies at Trinity College Dublin welcomes applications for a specific purpose position as Assistant Professor in Modern Irish.
The successful candidate will be a specialist in the literature of Modern Irish and will have a PhD in Modern Irish, excellent spoken and written Irish, relevant teaching experience and a publication track-record appropriate to an appointment at this level.
The successful candidate will be able to teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Modern Irish language and literature and will be able and willing to teach a variety of other modules.
Post status: Specific Purpose ContractThe specific purpose of this role is to fill an Assistant Professor position.
This employment is not offered on an indefinite basis as it is funded by an external agency.
Hours of Post: Hours of work for academic staff are those as prescribed under Public Service Agreements.
