Our Kerry branch of Down Syndrome Ireland are expanding our existing team and are delighted to announce the recruitment of an Assistant Shop Manager to join our existing team.
The role will be focused on supporting the management of the day to day running of the 321 charity shop whilst motivating and encouraging staff and volunteers to help achieve sales targets to maximise our contribution to Down Syndrome Kerry services to members You must have retail experience and demonstrate strong leadership skills.
You will inspire and motivate your team to deliver outstanding results, enjoy being on the shop floor whilst driving sales through great customer service and be motivated by working for a charity and as a team member working with our members with Down Syndrome.
Overview of Duties & Responsibilities: Supervise and assist the management team to develop the shop in the context of an agreed work plan and agreed financial targets Assist in supervising shop floor staff, both paid and voluntary Ensure the appearance of the shop internally and externally is attractive to customers and in line with brand standards.
Ensure a good workflow system in the stock room.
Supporting the training of colleagues, members and volunteers Opening /Close of shop and end of day cashing up. Reconciling cash sheets and lodgment of money Maintaining stockroom and shop floor stock levels Quality control of products and ensuring excellent customer service Shop lodgments and administration Maintain health & safety and hygiene of shop Preparing monthly reports and attending meetings Any other duties as required by management team in 321 The successful candidate will have: Excellent Communication Skills Fashion Retail Experience Excellent leadership/motivational experience Excellent interpersonal skills Good IT and Social media knowledge Flexibility with working hours and a positive attitude Hours: This is a part time contract working 21 hours per week across Monday - Saturday.
