Servisource is currently recruiting a Grade IV - Assistant Staff Officer for a public sector Contract length: Temporary Salary: €18.48/h Working week: 35h/week Monday to Friday Location: Mullingar, Co. Westmeath Professional Duties and Responsibilities: Accounts Payable: Issuing of Orders to departments in compliance with the NFR.
Preparation of accruals Pay & Non on a monthly basis.
Checking vouchers and service entry sheets when required.
Assisting with payment of general invoices, as required.
Dealing with queries relating to accounts from Vendors and Finance Dept Filing and keeping of records relating to payments Post handling of creditors accounts post and also the redistribution of post to other departments based on order numbers e.g.
Maintenance Dept, Laboratory, Pharmacy Central Processing Unit, and Invoice verification as required Gain a workable knowledge of all accruals prepared in the Department in the event of cross cover General: Assisting with Ad Hoc reporting as required Circulating Finance memos to Heads of Dept as required.
Following up on Parliamentary Questions/ FOI requests as required.
Provide cross cover for other staff in the Dept as required Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time Engage with any new systems/processes which may be introduced Candidates must demonstrate: Professional Knowledge & Experience Demonstrate: Excellent Microsoft Office skills to include Excel, Word, Email, Powerpoint Strong administrative skills including efficient use and maintenance of filing and document management systems.
Experience in preparing Monthly Management Accounts Knowledge of HSE Financial Regulations Knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards A working knowledge of relevant IT systems Communications & Interpersonal Skills Demonstrate: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organisation Effective communication skills both verbal/written including the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner, the ability to give constructive feedback to encourage learning and the ability to create team spirit among staff in the Department.
