Ballywater Supply Chain Recruitment is looking for a motivated Assistant to support the Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) Manager & Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA) for a highly dynamic role in logistics in the Cork region. This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates or candidates with up to one years of experience in SHEQ, compliance, or logistics. You'll gain exposure to diverse logistics services, including intermodal, petroleum, and food sectors, with a range of day-to-day responsibilities that provide a comprehensive foundation in safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities SHEQ Compliance: Assist in maintaining high standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance based on industry-recognized frameworks.Safety Audits and Reporting: Participate in regular safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments to uphold safety standards.Regulatory Documentation: Maintain regulatory documentation to support compliance across quality, environmental, and safety management systems.Training and Development: Assist in developing training resources to enhance safety awareness throughout operations.DGSA Support: Provide essential support in handling and transporting hazardous materials, working closely with the DGSA to ensure regulatory alignment.Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the SHEQ team to identify and implement process improvements, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.Ideal Candidate Profile Education and Experience: A recent graduate or candidate with up to one year of experience in a SHEQ, compliance, or safety role within logistics, transport, or a related field.Certifications: DGSA certification or interest in pursuing it is advantageous.Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with standards for quality, environmental, and safety management within logistics and transport sectors is beneficial.Skills: Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to adapt to a compliance-focused, standards-driven environment.Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.This role offers an outstanding entry point into SHEQ and compliance or a perfect platform to enhance your experience already gained in the sector, with the chance to work within a diverse logistics operation integral to essential industries in Ireland.
