Description
Duties and Responsibilities : · Assist with the legal, regulatory and compliance affairs of the Allied World Europe and Lloyd's Syndicate 2232 platforms and their related entities.
· Negotiate and assist with regional contracts and general corporate and governance matters.
· Assist with providing legal advice and training to the business.
· Monitor for and advise the business on legal and regulatory updates.
· Handle and assist with insurance regulatory and compliance matters, including complaints handling and regulatory filings.
· Handle and assist with data privacy matters.
· Maintain good relationships with outside counsel.
· Work effectively with the Legal & Compliance Department globally to ensure global consistency where possible.
· Such other duties as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
· A senior attorney with at least four years of total legal experience with a recognized law firm and/or in a corporate setting.
· Must be a qualified / licensed solicitor in England and/or Ireland.
· Strong insurance and reinsurance background preferred.
· Strong working knowledge of UK and EU laws and regulations.
· Experience dealing with the CBI, FCA, PRA and/or Lloyd's.
· Must be a team player and very collegial.
· Excellent communication and organizational skills.
· Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a busy environment.
