What are the minimum requirements you need for the role? Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.Relevant experience in the fund industry, with a focus on valuations, risk management, or investment analysis would be an asset.Knowledge of financial modeling and valuation techniques, as well as industry standards and regulations.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.Familiarity with Bloomberg functionality would be a plus.Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Risk & Valuation Associate, to support the Risk & Valuation team in performing valuations, risk assessments, and analysis of portfolio holdings. In this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of valuation methodologies and risk management principles, as well as the ability to analyse complex financial data and communicate findings to stakeholders. Additionally, you should be highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while also being able to work collaboratively with other team members.
What is your role and your responsibilities? Assist in the preparation and review of valuation reports for portfolio holdings, ensuring that valuations are accurate and comply with industry standards and best practices.Participate in risk assessments and analysis of portfolio holdings to identify potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including investment managers, auditors, and regulators, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.Monitor and analyze market trends and economic conditions to inform investment decisions and identify potential opportunities and risks.Generate periodic risk analytics utilizing in-house and/or third-party risk reporting tools.Support the Risk & Valuation team in ad-hoc projects and initiatives, as needed.What Competencies do you require?
