As our Associate General Counsel, you'll support HID's success by: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial transactions, including SaaS and other cloud-computing solution customer agreements, and channel partner agreements (e.g., OEM, distribution, reseller, and systems integrator agreements)Providing legal guidance on data privacy matters in the EU, EEA and globallyResearching and advising on legal and regulatory compliance applicable to transactions in the EU and EEASupporting the development of scalable processes and templates for all of the foregoing transactionsAssisting in the development of contractual and process-oriented risk mitigation strategies especially in the areas of data protectionCreating and implementing company policiesAssisting in responding to RFP/RFI, questionnaires and compliance documentsResearching and supporting guidance to senior management on a broad range of matters including identifying areas of risk and mitigation strategiesCreating and delivering training to business teams regarding commercial transactions and other legal areas of riskAdvancing third party due diligence and risk mitigation strategies for vendors and other third party business relationshipsIntegrating the legal function within the business and provide comprehensive supportWhat we will love about your background: Judicious independent worker also adept at working collaborativelySound legal and business judgment and the ability to make strategic decisions and provide recommendationsExperience in a high growth and diverse environment; a record of accomplishment including driving results and working with a high performing teamStrong deal-making skills that go beyond negotiating legal terms and resolving legal issuesDetail-orientation and ability to manage multiple transactions and projects simultaneously under deadline pressureSignificant experience counseling global organizations on commercial and compliance issuesFamiliarity with global banking industry laws and regulations is desirable (EBA Guidelines, outsourcing requirements, audit and security standards, etc.)Proactively isolate and prioritize issues to focus on implementing both top-level, strategic solutions as well as the day-to-day initiativesAbility to deliver in a demanding and entrepreneurial environment in a timely mannerYour Experience and Education include: 4-6 years' PQE, ideally prior in-house experienceStrong technology contract experience, including SaaS, cloud-hosted solutions and software licensingInternational business experience is desirableExcellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to create and sustain lasting relationships with customers and managementStrong proficiency in MS OfficeProficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.Ability to effectively communicate fluently in English verbally and in writingMust be able to review and negotiate contracts in the English languageAbility to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.Who you are as a Team Member: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbalWillingness to 'roll up sleeves' and dive deep into tactical work when necessaryGood interpersonal skills, willingness to learn and continue to grow professionallyStrong team player and ability to work well with othersWhy apply?
