About this role: As an Associate Project Manager, you will lead sustaining projects on the Urology Project Management team. You will collaborate cross-functionally and internationally to drive projects that are critical to business growth and continuity. You will join a team of passionate individuals striving to improve patient care.
The projects will vary in size and scope but may include supporting Quality/Regulation driven projects, supporting material or supplier changes, executing product extensions, executing value improvement projects or product design enhancements. These projects often have a high level of visibility throughout the organization. This role interfaces with key cross-functional groups including R&D, marketing, clinical, medical safety, design quality, regulatory affairs, process development and operations.
You are a self-motivated individual with demonstrated leadership skills. You will be responsible for leading diverse, cross-functional team(s) to evaluate, design, build, and implement solutions to support the project goals. Additionally, you will engage with functional managers to manage the portfolio of sustaining projects for your business unit and align on projects priorities and resources needs to execute successfully the sustaining strategy. Your success in this role requires creating a cohesive strategy for project execution, an effective project team culture, and driving execution to ensure project completion.
Your responsibilities will include: Partner and collaborate with a variety of functions, regions, and business resources to achieve project objectivesGenerate and implement project plans, communications, and schedules to assist with task prioritization and workload adjustments to maximize team potentialManage project challenges including scope impact assessments and recommended solutionsBuild team ownership and commitment to project plan and identify, manage, and communicate project risksInteract with senior leaders on complex matters requiring coordination between organizationsPrepare and deliver project status updates to managementDocument risk mitigation plans, decision logs, meeting minutes, project metrics, and other key communicationsEnsure current BSC policies and practices are followedIdentify resources required for project activities, develop project budgets, resource allocations and timelinesEffectively lead global project teams ensuring good cross-functional communications and alignment on priorities amongst projectsAssist with Annual Operating Plan (AOP), making sure all sustaining project requests & associated resourcing are accounted forMinimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Engineering, Project Management, or Business.3 to 5+ years of relevant experienceProject management experience leading cross functional teamsProject management experience managing project scope, schedule and budget, and ability to balance multiple prioritiesStrong cross-functional communication, team building, planning and problem-solving skillsCandidate must be comfortable communicating and/or presenting in front of all levels of the organizationRequired qualifications: Experience in the medical device industryPMP certification beneficial but not requiredWillingness to travel up to 15%, including some international travelPreferred qualifications and competencies: Proficiency in MS ProjectMS Office ToolsResource & Budget PlanningRequisition ID: 592756
