My Client is a 2 Partner medium size firm who are seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join their team in Dublin. The Audit Senior will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality audit services to clients while maintaining strong relationships and adhering to professional standards.
Responsibilities: Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring all deadlines and quality standards are met. Conduct risk assessments, develop audit plans, and identify key audit areas Perform substantive testing, analytical procedures, and other audit procedures to obtain sufficient audit evidence Supervise and mentor junior audit team members, providing guidance and support as needed. Review workpapers prepared by audit staff, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with auditing standards. Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients in a clear and concise manner. Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and responsiveness to client needs. Stay current on relevant accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends Contribute to the development of audit methodologies and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Assist in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations. Qualifications: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) with at least 3-5 years of experience Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting frameworks, and relevant regulations (IFRS, GAAP, etc.). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Ability to manage multiple engagements and prioritise tasks effectively Proven leadership and team management abilities. Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office applications.
