Job Title: Autism Outreach Support Worker Contract: Permanent, Full-time (36 hours)
Location: National Learning Network - Waterford: Unit 7, IDA Industrial Estate, Cork Rd, Waterford
Job Purpose: Providing a range of supports to a client group with Autism Spectrum Disorder, this role will identify goals and put measures in place to achieve outcomes within the framework of an Autism Support Service.
Reporting to a NLN Centre Manager, in consultation with the Health Service Executive, the role will manage a client group referred to the service; develop working relationships and encourage the participation of clients; assess current skill levels, explore person-centred goals, and identify support requirements for each client.
Additional duties will include supporting clients to engage with their communities and connect with support networks, providing opportunities for individuals to engage in capacity building activities.
