Position: Automation & Controls Engineer Location: Co. Longford Salary: €45,000 - €55,000 per annum Exciting Opportunity: Automation & Controls Engineer in County Longford! About Our Client: Our client, a leading company in County Longford, is seeking a skilled Automation & Controls Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing automation and control systems to enhance production efficiency and reliability. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement automation and control systems for various projects. Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automation and control systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions. Conduct regular maintenance and updates to automation systems. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies. Develop and maintain documentation for automation and control processes. Provide technical support and training to the production and maintenance teams. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelors degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as an Automation & Controls Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA systems. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
