They are currently seeking a Building Automation System Engineer to support critical automation systems and drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing operations.
Position Overview: As a Building Automation System Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the Building Automation System (BAS) and Utility Automation Systems within the facility. You will collaborate with various internal and external engineering teams, as well as vendors, to ensure optimal system functionality and manage upgrades. This is a hands-on role, requiring excellent technical, troubleshooting, and project management skills to ensure the smooth operation of our automation systems.
Key Responsibilities: Provide technical support for the Building Automation System (BAS) (Siemens DesigoCC) and related Utility Automation Systems.Lead system upgrade projects, ensuring timely completion while maintaining system integrity.Diagnose and troubleshoot automation-related issues, offering hands-on support to resolve technical challenges.Collaborate with HVAC engineers, utility engineers, and the electrical and project teams to ensure systems are operating to their specifications.Develop and execute test procedures and manage automation change controls.Coordinate closely with installation/project engineers and supervise external vendors and technical teams.Produce comprehensive reports, technical documentation, and work instructions as needed.Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.Train maintenance and operations staff on the systems as required.Participate in Software Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing.Continuously maintain and improve automation change control systems.Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting Building Automation or Utility Automation systems within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or a similar industry.Experience in both project delivery and operational support phases.Hands-on experience with Air Handling Units (AHU), HVAC systems, and critical utility systems like cooling towers and compressors.Expertise with Siemens DesigoCC and Siemens Xworks is required.Experience with Siemens PXC controllers and Modbus communication is advantageous.Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.Demonstrated leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.Knowledge of the GAMP software development lifecycle and GDP documentation practices.Proven ability to work in a flexible, fast-paced team environment and adapt to changing business needs.For more information and a confidential chat, feel free to reach out to me on ****** or call me on 01-482 5494.
