The company is 25 years old and employs over 200 talented automation, electrical and IT engineers across 5 offices in Ireland and the UK.
We are currently recruiting experienced Automation Engineers to oversee and lead technical activities on automation projects, predominantly in the Life Science and Food & Beverage sectors.
We are seeking candidates with 3 or more years' experience in validated automation systems, PLC programming, HMI/SCADA or Manufacturing Execution Systems.
A background in GAMP 5 and experience with Siemens, Rockwell and AVEVA (Wonderware), products would be a distinct advantage!
Responsibilities/ Duties Assuming technical lead role on automation projects, including leading design, test, and integration activities.
Working with a team of automation engineers delivering projects to customer sites.
Developing engineering design documents, technical evaluations, and test plans for cGMP process equipment and following GAMP 5 guidelines.
Providing design and approval for hardware, software, and controls for automated systems.
Working closely with customers to identify areas for improvement through the use of automation and data analytics technology.
Providing technical and automation operational support to Engineering, Manufacturing, Validation and Facilities departments.
Co-ordinating and supporting project commissioning activities.
Mentoring and training of junior engineers.
Researching new technologies and trends in Industrial Automation and liaising with senior management on automation business strategy.
Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience Experienced automation engineer with 3 or more years' experience.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Computer Science / Information Systems or related field.
PLC Programming Experience: Allen-Bradley PLCs / Siemens TIA Portal.
HMI / SCADA Experience: Siemens / Rockwell / AVEVA / Schneider.
Knowledge of process instrumentation and wiring.
Experience with control networks and communications systems (Profibus, Modbus, DeviceNet).
Experience working with validated Automation systems in the Pharmaceutical or Food Beverage manufacturing environment.
